Costal strength meets raw texture

HNS Bricklaying recently wrapped up our part of this standout build for HF Constructions in conjunction with HIIVE COLLECTIVE. The project features a mix of internal and external brickwork, including an eye catching fireplace designed to house a gas unit. The client’s brief called for a random bond with a rough, messy finish—purposefully imperfect and full of texture.

We used Sandstruck Hampton bricks by Elephant Brick Co., which brought a soft, coastal tone to the home. With the property located near the ocean, we upped the durability—using a 3-in-1 cement mix and stainless steel brick ties throughout. It’s the kind of detail that’s not always seen, but always felt.

The brickwork was completed on time and to spec, and we’re looking forward to seeing the finished home once the full build is complete.
